Our location (150 Peters Point Rd., Hot Springs, AR) provides 1,800 square feet
of training space for novices and advanced students. We teach the Okinawan style of karate known as Shuri-te. It is one of the oldest
and most practical forms of self-defense, because it incorporates many different styles of martial arts. Classes are taught in a disciplined environment and family atmosphere.
Sensei Brad Lovell, chief instructor, and the black-belt staff have over 50 years of
combined experience, and not only teach martial arts, but self-discipline, respect and self-confidence as well.
Sensei Lovell also offers an in depth self-defense class which incorporates street proven
techniques that can be perfected with minimal effort.
In 1996, our students won more than 130 trophies in competition against all other styles of
martial arts. Also, 32 medals were awarded from the Arkansas Karate Circuit and in national competitions in Memphis, Tenn., Atlanta, Ga., and Louisville, Ky.
We offer semiprivate self-defense classes, but private instruction is also available. Classes are Monday and Wednesday night from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM.
